questions
What makes Edemi different?
Every word comes with its story: how it's pronounced, how it's used in a real sentence and the tradition behind it. You learn the language and the culture together.
Is Edemi free?
Yes. One language, the Basic level, every lesson quiz and 5 practice sessions a day are free forever. Edemi Pro ($4.99/month) unlocks every language, every level, unlimited games and the full Discover library.
Can I try Edemi without an account?
Yes, with the tools. Find your roots tells you which languages are spoken where your family is from, and Say it in… looks up any word in the dictionary with its pronunciation and the tradition behind it. Both are free and need no sign-up.
Can I talk to a native speaker?
Soon. Edemi is building 30-minute one-to-one calls with native speakers: you book any available slot, choose what you want to talk about, and pay $15 per call — no subscription needed. Email us and we'll tell you the day it opens.
Do I need an app store?
No. Edemi installs straight from your browser. It gets its own icon, opens full screen and weighs far less than a store app.
Does it work offline?
Pages you've already opened stay available without a connection. You'll need to be online to save progress and take quizzes.
Which languages can I learn?
Fon, Yoruba, Ewe, Bariba, Dendi, French and English. Yoruba, French and English run from Basic to Advanced; the other languages are growing, and Bariba and Dendi start with numbers.
Can I cancel Pro anytime?
Yes, from your profile in two taps. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
